Glass Key Stopcock Straight Bore

Glass Key Stopcock with Straight Bore – Precision Ground Lab Valve
The SGC LABS® Glass Key Stopcock (Straight Bore) is individually
ground from Borosilicate Glass 3.3 to ensure a perfect taper fit,
airtight seal, and smooth rotation. The straight bore (also called
parallel bore) allows maximum, unrestricted flow when the stopcock is in the fully
open position — unlike oblique bore types which partially restrict flow.

Key Features

Material: Borosilicate Glass 3.3 – chemically inert, autoclave-safe
Bore type: Straight (parallel) bore – full flow when open
Plug: Precision ground tapered glass key plug
Seal: Grease-free precision fit; vacuum-tight when lubricated
Interchangeable with standard laboratory glassware joints
Available bore sizes: 1mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 4mm
Available barrel sizes: 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm
Conforms to: ISO 4797, DIN 12244

Difference: Straight Bore vs Oblique Bore
A straight bore stopcock has the hole running straight through the
plug perpendicular to the barrel — providing full unobstructed flow. An
oblique bore has the hole at an angle, which slightly restricts flow.
Straight bore is preferred for burettes and titration apparatus requiring
precise, controlled delivery.

Applications

Replacement stopcock for glass burettes
Separating funnels and Buchner flasks
Distillation and reflux assemblies
Vacuum line manifolds
General glassware flow control
